Lexington Medical Center Foundation awards funds to MIRCI to support adult and youth programs

Lexington Medical Center Foundation has granted Mirci (Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc.) funding for general operations to provide best practice behavioral healthcare interventions that improve outcomes for adults and youth experiencing or at risk of mental illness and/ or homelessness.
Mirci is a CARF-accredited full-service behavioral healthcare provider serving Lexington and Richland counties’ most vulnerable populations— individuals who are homeless and recovering from mental illness.
The nonprofit’s Adult and Youth Services programs focus on Homeless Outreach, Permanent Supportive Housing, Benefits Assistance, and Behavioral Healthcare.
“We are grateful to have the support of the Lexington Medical Center Foundation,” said Mirci’s executive director, Julie Ann Avin. “We strive every day to provide our clients with the best possible care, and the funds we have received from the foundation will support our ability to meet and exceed the high standards to which we hold ourselves.”

LMC is proud to support Mirci in an effort to address gaps for our most vulnerable populations.”
Mirci works with over 30 partners in the Midlands to serve the needs of the Midland’s most vulnerable populations. During the pandemic, Mirci’s programs and services have remained in operation with referrals for both youth and adult services increasing at a rate of 20 percent.
