About
Helping people find a way forward when life is at an impasse.
Environmental stressors, genetic factors and biological imbalances that affect the brain are commonplace. They can create a web of emotional uncertainty that affects the way people think, feel and act. Left unsupported, they can even impact a person’s ability to secure essentials like food, clothing and stable housing.
Mirci understands the compounding effect these factors have on our lives. We provide an array of behavioral healthcare, supportive housing and essential needs to help people find a way forward when their life is at an impasse.
Mirci has been supporting mental wellness in the Columbia area for more than 60 years.
Advocates for supportive housing.
Unfortunately, mental illness and homelessness can go hand in hand, each creating a propensity for the other. In fact, 30% of adults experiencing homelessness also live with mental illness.
Mirci works to break that cycle. By providing people experiencing mental illness with behavioral healthcare, stable and affordable housing, and other support services, we help them live more successfully and ultimately reduce homelessness.
